Description
Vascular endothelial growth factor 121 (VEGF121) is a protein that plays a crucial role in the growth and survival of blood vessels. It stimulates the formation of new blood vessels, a process known as angiogenesis, which is essential for normal development and tissue repair. VEGF121 has therapeutic applications for conditions such as ischemic heart disease and cancer.
Molecular Weight
The protein has a predicted MW of 16 kDa. And it migrates as 17-25 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Purity
> 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin
<0.1 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4).
Reconstitution
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Dissolve lyophilized protein with sterile PBS to ensure the concentration is greater than 100 ug/mL.
