Description
Timolol Maleate is a adrenergic receptor antagonist selective for β1-AR. Adrenergic receptors, or adrenoreceptors, are G-protein coupled receptors involved in a variety of sympathetic nervous system processes. Antagonists such as Timolol Maleate that affect the β adrenoreceptors are commonly known as beta blockers that decrease cardiac output.
