Inhibits the tumor invasion activity of human fibrosarcoma HT-1080 cells, not only by inhibiting the expression of MMPs, but also by impeding phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathway (PI3-K) to increase TIMP-1 production. Nobiletin may also prevent atherosclerosis at the wall level of blood vessels by inhibiting the formation of macrophage spongiform cells.
