Mature human FGF-10 is an approximately 20 kDa protein that contains a serine-rich region near its N-terminus (2, 3). It shares 93% and 96% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat FGF-10, respectively. During cardiogenesis, FGF-10 is expressed in the anterior second heart field. Together with Fibroblast growth factor 8 (FGF-8), FGF10 promotes the proliferation of these cardiac progenitor cells that form the arterial pole of the heart.

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20℃. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
