Description
Fibroblast growth factor 10 (FGF-10) is a heparin-binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role in prenatal development, postnatal growth, and regeneration of various tissues by promoting cell proliferation and differentiation.FGF-10 is most closely related to KGF/FGF-7, and is expressed during development, preferentially in the adult lung. It signals through FGFR 2b.
Molecular Weight
Approximately 19.1 kDa.
Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity
>97% by SDS-PAGE analyses.
Biological Activity
The ED50 as determined by thymidine uptake assay using FGF-receptors transfected BaF3 cells is less than 0.5 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of > 2.0 × 106 IU/mg. Fully biologically active when compared to standard.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in 2 × PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution
Brief centrifugation prior to opening is recommended to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL in sterile distilled water or an aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA. The stock solution should be divided into aliquots and stored at ≤ -20°C.
