Synonyms
Interleukin-21, IL-21, Za11
Description
Hunan IL-21 protein is a molecule that is found in the immune system of individuals. It is a type of interleukin, which is a protein that helps in the communication between immune cells. IL-21 plays a crucial role in regulating the body's immune response, specifically in the development, differentiation, and function of certain immune cells, such as T cells and natural killer cells.
Molecular Weight
The protein has a predicted MW of 16.5 kDa. And it migrates as 19 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Purity
> 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin
< 0.1 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS.
Reconstitution
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Dissolve lyophilized protein with PBS. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities when first used and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
