Ethyl 4-oxocyclohexanecarboxylate is a cyclohexanone derivative used in the study of cyclohexanone monooxygenase and its mutants as catalysts.It is also employed in the preparation of dopamine agonists1 and the skeleton of tetracyclic diterpenes.
