Esculin, a fluorescent coumarin glucoside, is an active ingredient of ash bark[1]. Esculin ameliorates cognitive impairment in experimental diabetic nephropathy (DN), and exerts anti‑oxidative stress and anti‑inflammatory effects, via the MAPK signaling pathway.
