Cosmetics products have various properties, including solids, liquids, emulsions, gels, pastes, etc., so it is hard to directly analysis and detect the ingredients. It is necessary to adopt appropriate pretreatment technology for the samples according to the detection objectives to eliminate the interference of excipients and enrich the compound to be measured in the sample for accurate analysis and detection. Protheragen-ING has experienced experts in this field who perform different pretreatments on samples based on different products and different analysis methods. We employ both traditional sample preparation for example direct dilution, liquid–liquid extraction (LLE), or solid–liquid extraction (SLE) as well as advanced techniques such as:
Solid-phase extraction (SPE) & Solid-phase microextraction (SPME): For liquid and semi-liquid/semi-solid products such as creams, toners, etc.
Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE): For cream products such as lipstick and mascara. The sample needs to have good thermal stability.
Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE): For solids such as eye shadow, blush, and other pressed powder products.
1. Initial Consultation & Project Planning: Our experts will communicate with clients to discuss specific analysis needs and any other requirements. At this step, we determine the specific test planning and establish a project timeline and budget.
2. Sample Preparation: Ensure proper retreatment and maintain integrity (as needed). Prepare samples according to the selected analysis methods.
3. Analysis: We utilize a range of advanced instruments, such as Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) to analyze and detect various components within your cosmetic samples.
4. Our report includes comprehensive information on the analysis results, a detailed description of the analytical processes undertaken, and some regulatory guidelines related to the substances examined.
5. Follow-Up Consultation: After submission of the report, we continue to keep in touch with clients to address any additional questions or concerns that may arise.
At Protheragen-ING, we are dedicated to delivering the highest accuracy, reliability, and expertise in cosmetics analysis.
