Synonyms
NC28, Small-inducible cytokine A7
Description
The MCP proteins are members of the CC chemokine family that signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated Tcells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross-reacts across species. Recombinant Human MCP-3 is a 9.0 kDa protein containing 76 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.

Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity
> 97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biologically active determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human monocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/mL.
Endotoxin
< 1 EU/μg of protein as determined by LAL method.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in 20 mM PB, pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1 % BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20 °C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
